One of the key events for the Ukrainian delegation in California last week was a meeting at Stanford University, where special educational programmes for Ukrainian businessmen and leaders were presented. One of these programmes is “Ignite Ukraine”, designed to meet the needs of Ukrainian business. During the event, the Futurology team had the opportunity to talk to Professor Yossi Finberg, discussing the issues of attracting investment and developing the Ukrainian economy.
The meeting with Stanford representatives provided a unique opportunity to discuss important aspects for Ukrainian business: readiness to compete in the global market and the need to strengthen Ukraine's investment attractiveness.
It is important for Ukrainian businessmen to develop their capital raising skills and strengthen the country's image as a promising market for investors. Stanford University, being considered a global centre of venture capital, provides access to investors, venture capital funds and startups, which is key for Ukrainian entrepreneurs seeking to attract external capital to support the Ukrainian economy.
Futurology is grateful to the Competitive Economy of Ukraine programme USAID and the Ukrainian Fund for Startups (UFS) for organising this meeting and supporting Ukrainian businesses on their way to attracting investment and creating new opportunities for international cooperation.
